in my point of view if a person is educated or not its not so inportant the way u behave i.e character is impotant . seeming to be educated and if he or she is not having good character may succed now but it will not stand for ever . at any time he or she may fall when he or she cannot stand again .so knowledge withoout character is not worthy

Actual knowledge automatically brings good character. In fact, it strengthen d very foundation of character.For eg- Our Past president Mr A.P.J Abdul Kalam. He is such a knowledgeable person that when he was subjected to a regular security check by an US airlines..he didn't hyped the matter..neither he showed any ire for such a check.He knew that those were the security rules of the US airlines.This shows his strong character..this reflects his knowledge.Thats why he is so respected person.So no knowledge no character

It's true dat knowledge without character is not worthy....generally we consider dat those who r educated have good characters...but i think character of a person does'nt comes from education or knowledge he/she have...a person having ample of knowledge but not character will not be respected by any1..there will be no1 to share his/her knowledge....n knowledge at can't be shared is of no use...person having good character is admired n respected by every1...

i think its a very gud topic...nd i do wnt to agree with my frds....but there are some areas where its prove contraditory....you know character works when u have to work in social environment...but Consider the case of scientist.....it is the knowledge that is going to matter not the character...u know scientist is known by his knowledge..not by his character...
so to generalise this statement is not true....also v can say that knowledge is going to give worth to that person but if the person also has character too then it work in exponential manner...s

according to my concern knowledge n character is not equal a person can hav excellent character but no knowledge then he can get placed in industry ?i think no chance without knowledge ?no equal weighing of character n knowledge even if a person dnt hav character also may hav execllecnt knowledge. now a days companies r looking for gud knowledge people but they r not concern with ther characters they r wel concenrating on there concentartion n ablity to do work if the person is eligible for all the things here the charater doesnt matter

i beg to differ frm u prathyusha..companies do chk ur knowledge while interview..character is something that they cannot chk while interviewing u..it reflects on the job..may b u can get into a company bcoz of ur knowledge bt to survive thr u need to hav a gud character..

In my point of view knowledge with out character and character with out knowledge can not withstand alone. These both are related to each other and in this highly technical growing world u hv to got both to voer come others.

KNOWLEDGE is worthless and useless without a character - recent egs of patan case in gujarat where the girls were sexually harassed and raped by the male proff , movie kya kehna of preity zinta where she slapped her school principle.

knowledge wid out character is worthless.....if u have a good knowledge in so many backgrounds but if urs character is not good .....u will failure in so many future stages......the most imp thing is character reflects our knowledge.......wid out character means the rose with out its gleaming beauty...so character is much more imp part of life

knowledge without is like ,giving weapon to a mad person.knoledge is nothing but the power.if the person having knowledge without character may cause harm to himself and even to others.

knowldege without character is more dangerous than without knowledge............example i give the terrorist who have knowledge of making dynamite but doesnt have character
could be a threat t society and world
so it is important that you have knowldge but it is more important that you should have character

I agree with my friends. that character is more important than knowledge.
For example: In satyam, just due to one person's greed & selflishness the company & a socety as a whole suffered.
Thus, to conclude one might have knowledge but its the character which gives him the edge.coz characheter is permanent but knowlege is continous.

yes its true that character is more important than knowledge....no matters how much a person is intelligent if he is not humble nobody will like to talk him,your knowlegde may give you repect frm people....bt your character can make the people to fall in love with you....for living in a society its not the knowledge its your character which plays an important role..

yes character is more important than knowledge.I m agree with u ppl.but according to me knowlede help u to enhance ur character.but is also depend upon the ppl .How r they using their knowlede for wat purpose.according to both r 2 phase of coin .without these 2 we wont get any name fame in society.

the topic is realistic as well as important, not only for the youth but for all dimensions of the society. one has to show the character to be successful, mind here, that character means how well civilized you are, and how strong you are mentally; and also how well you are able to respond to different situations in life.swami vivekananda emphasized on need of character developement through education. if one does not develope healthy character then the knowledge he is gaining is of no use. you do not need to have mere knowlege or character, instead you should have a combination of both. and good education is capable of providing that. hence to conclude, it is not worthy to have knowledge without character.
