well i think compared to other countries India has some very good quality both in culture and in society .. Only think is people are become very westernised and started to be pertending so.
most of our rural areas does t know about it..
if prostitution is made legal there s going to a huge change in our culture and we ll be facing some more problems regarding sexual crimes .. even though prostitution can generate lots of money ,beside that Women can be given some other work in creative thinks like making handicrafts,child caring ,tailoring ,etc in which they may occupy time and lead them in a quality and make them to know the standard of living

i complete agree with u jerome, Basically prostitution activities has going on since our old age, at epic time this activities was going, and if this activity become legal then our anti social will be decrease, it will be good to us. we can't abolish and ignore this activity. so i think it will better if prostitution become legal.

Well,this is a social topic we should hav a right to think about all the aspect of our life as this topic is not related to perticular one its for all women commnity and a question about our culture which is at the stake.

well this is a totally social topic , prostitution should not be make legal , it should be stop ,not to bee control . it can be minimize by giving a proper motivation!

I think it wont affect if it made legal or not. Because it still in continuation and if it made legal then only it will be licenced , nothing more than that.

i think it should be made legal because there are so many peoples who cant live without sex and if prostitution is not there then there will be drastic increase in rapes and social will get hamper.

i oppose vth sarjerao...., india is in 2nd place in AIDS vthout making prostitution a legal, if its done means, hw abt the indian young minds and the future of india, prostitution should nt be made legal.

good point uday, INdia is in 2nd place in AIDS victims but HIV can b tranmitted through many ways not only with sex, so proper couseling and awarness should b passed to the people of our country and make the prostitution legal

i totally agree with my frnd sarjerao .....ass we all know that the rape cases are increasing day by day...girls afraid to come out after 10 PM ... in our Indian society the situation is to worst that 8 years girl raped by a 40 year man...but if our govt. made it legal than it will help to reduce the rape cases....and if we saw behind this that there are N number of girls who are engaged in this work but they don't want to come across the society...b'se they know that society will not accept them....so if govt. allow this then it will give a chance them also to come in front...

no dear i m totaly disagree with ur opinion.because this will create some more problem in our society because poor family which is having no source of income they start this type of activity beside to do some creative work like handicraft some indoor work etc.
so my opinion is that to stop rape nd other type of sexual harasment gov. should make some strong bill decision just like pota in terrorist activity.beside to do prostitution legal.
that is not our culture.
