well ofcourse it is required...as we know in india increase trp of programms attract many promotional adds which rather than providing actual information just try to attract the viewers wd their illusinary talks...........in a way just misguiding the viewrs......so broadcasting code should be dere so that programmes worth time limit can b maintained,nd viewers can be protected from just misleadind add campaigns..thus helpful in retention of the programme popularity also..

being a ,marketeer i will always think of reaching the customer and communicating my product or brand to the customer as many times as possible in order to penetrate his consideration set and to leave a stamp of my brand in the long term memory of my prospective customers.
i disagree to the point that the ads are misleading because a court of law governs the ads that are shown or broadcasted.
if any of the brands make false promises then the consumer has always the right to go to the court of law and file a law suit against the brand.
more over its the ads which bring the channel revenue.
and no business can run without a working capital at least.
the businesses(channels) needs to cover their investment and make some profit in order to be sustainable.
so in my view i would vote against the notion.

hello freinds...in my view advertisement is the one of t he most effective way to deliver the details of product to customers. in India there is large segment of people who regularly watch television or listen radio. also in this competitive time no company wants to lag behind their competitors so there is large no. of advertisements seen on the television.

my friend i think due to the number of channels availablity that is quit difficult to reach to the target audience, because their are many cchannels working on the same segment after that the choise of prograam is differ from different channel and also in india the dominency of regional channels the company are not able to reach, if we talkin about rural areas they need a complete demonstration because many things are new for them . becoz of many issues with broadcasting organisation i think this should not the only mediam , u will hav to come out in the field as well.
